Forensic Interviews are offered to assist in the investigation of child abuse cases by providing the services of a trained forensic interviewer in a warm, safe, child-friendly environment for conducting investigations.

PRCAC SERVICES

CRISIS COUNSELING

Crisis counseling consists of individual and family sessions. Family Advocates make referrals for counseling to contractors and outside therapists on behalf of the individuals and families. 

CLOTHING ASSISTANCE

Clothes are donated by local department stores and businesses, as well as by individuals within the four counties served. Unless an emergency is presented, clothing is distributed Fridays to clientele.

SCHOOL-BASED

EDUCATION PROGRAM

Our school-based education program works in conjunction with the local school systems to sponsor Parent Expo Night, Report Card Day, and the Annual Backpack Drive. The Stop Child Abuse and Neglect (SCAN) Program is offered to the school systems in the four counties. The program is an educational program offered to grades 3, 5, 7, & 9.

PARENT SUPPORT

GROUP COLLABORATION

Weekly support group for parents with activities tailored around stress management, social support, coping skills, positive parenting skills, and discipline techniques. It is open to the public. We also take referrals. 

COMMUNITY OUTREACH

PRCAC provides child abuse awareness on reporting procedures and signs of abuse, free of charge, to schools, churches, civic organizations, and other community organizations. Additionally, an annual Blue Ribbon and Pinwheel Campaign is held each April to increase community awareness of child abuse through radio interviews, newspaper articles, and public speaking engagements.
